Article 1: Because all are fallen and under the sentence of eternal death in Adam, God would have the right to condemn all eternally (Rom. 3:19, 3:23, 6:23).

Article 2: But God has shown his love by sending his son that whoever believes in him shall be saved and not perish eternally.

Article 3: In order that people would believe in Christ, God sends forth preachers “of this very joyful message” to whomever he wishes when he wishes (Rom. 10:14-15).

Article 4: God’s anger remains on those who reject the Gospel, but those who embrace Christ with faith are delivered from God’s judicial anger, and receive the gift of eternal life.
